The most antique town of the Coast , Amalfi can boast with a glorious past as a Maritime Republic, ship building and rich trades with the middle east. 

It has kept its charm and originality of a typical mediterranean small town with its majestic cathedral of S. Andrea that dominates the main piazza, where it comes natural to take a seat with an espresso or an “aperitivo”  while watching  the people passing by. 

Civil ceremonies in the town hall of Amalfi take place in the beautiful Salone Morelli containing important documents and furnishing of the Maritime Republic.

 

 

Positano 

   

An artists paradise cascading down to the sea.  The little town has always been a little jewel on the coast.  As John Steinbeck wrote " It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." Every year many couples from all over the world get married in Positano.

Full of shops with the special “Positano fashion”, lovely colorful summer dresses and beachwear.

Civil weddings  are celebrated in the Town Hall on the pretty terrace overlooking the sea.

The main church of  S. Maria Assunta is located in the heart of Positano, only few meters walking distance from the beach.

“In the heart of the Amalfi Coast” Praiano is a very small town, its original name “Pelagianum”, “Open Sea”, well describes the stunning position of this ancient hamlet,  with a memorable view over Positano, Capri and Li Galli islands. Away from the most touristy areas Praiano offer a truly welcoming atmosphere and has some of the nicest churches on the Amalfi Coast for Catholic weddings. “Between the sky and sea” Ravello is a quiet small town with the best views of the Amalfi Coast, perched on top of the mountain 335 meters above the sea level .  Here many films have been made and many writers, poets  and musicians have been touched by the magnificent view over the coast,  the lovely gardens and the tranquility of life.  Civil marriages are performed in the local Town Hall. The entrance is beautiful with a romantic arch passing through a beautiful small garden full of flowers and trees. If you are considering a catholic wedding in Ravello you can choose among three churches: first of all the beautiful Duomo of S. Pantaleone situated in the main square, the church of S. The area is full of history and along the coast still stands many of the watch towers constructed by the Romans and then later by the Normans. But history goes further back than that with those from the Greek mythologies.   Here Ulysses with his sailors  had to tie themselves to the masts of their ships in order not to fall for the temptation of jumping overboard and swim to the lovely callings made by the mermaids on the small islands outside of Positano.   These islands are  called the Li Galli, (gallina = hen) in fact the first Greek paintings of these mermaids were not with the body of a fish as we know them today but with the body of  a bird and a head of a woman.
