The
isle of Capri is easily one of the most beautiful
places in the world!
The blue island, a favorit of the international “jet set.” Their lovely white houses hidden amongst the palmtrees, bougainvillea, myrtle and oleander that cover the island.
Capri is full of lovely hotels, good restaurants and pizzeria. There are many exclusive shops, clothes, shoes and jewelry.
The Piazzetta is the center of Capri for tourists and locals, where an apertif is just a “must”.
Everything is at walking distance, nearby the Piazzetta are the Gardens of Augustus, from which there is a beautiful view of the rocks surrounding the island. The most famous is the Faraglioni.
The island is divided into two communities, Capri and on the upper part of the island Anacapri.
To arrive at Anacapri, which lies higher up on the mountain than Capri town, you have to take the local bus or one of the famous convertible taxis that are famous for
Capri .
Very smart, but sometimes not so enjoyable when you just have come from the hairdresser. No matter how slow they go there always seems to be wind in your hair!
We highly recommend that you have a scarf in your purse. The taxis and the buses all part from the same spot not far from the main square in
Capri town.
In Anacapri there is a small church where also non-catholic weddings can be performed.
For church weddings there is always more paperwork and it all has to be started well ahead of time. The booking of a church wedding is advisable to be made approximately nine months before the date you have chosen.
For a wedding in a town hall it is much easier regarding the paperwork and we advise that the booking should be made approximately six months ahead of time.
TheTown Hall of Capri town lies in the famous square,
the room where the
ceremony takes place
is elegant with wooden furniture.
The lovelyTown Hall of Anacapri
has
a garden in front where the ceremonies can take
place.
This is much appreciated by our wedding couples.
Nearby also you will find many lovely
restaurants and hotels where a reception can be
held.
The main point in Anacapri is the Piazza Vittoria from where the buses and taxis can be taken. Here lies a nice pedestrian road that is lined with ceramic shops, cafès, trattorie and of course shops with all the light materials of theCapri
style fashion.
